Camerata for iPhone · Last updated 13 September 2026
Camerata keeps your work photos in named collections on your phone, out of your camera roll. If something is not working, or a photo is not where you expect it, write to me directly.
Camerata is a product of Lakeside Innovation Labs LLC, a Texas limited liability company.

I read every message and aim to reply within two business days. Camerata is made by one person, so please include your iPhone model, your iOS version, and what you were doing when it went wrong. Never send a photo of a client or patient to explain a problem — a description is enough, and I would rather not receive it.
Inside Camerata, in whichever collection you shot them into. They are deliberately kept out of your phone's Photos app, which is the point of the app. Open the collection from the Collections list to see them.
Any time you like, and with no lock-in. Select items in a collection and use Save to photo library, or use Save out in Settings to copy a whole collection into your Photos app — it creates an album named Camerata <collection name>. You can also send individual items out through the iOS share sheet. Nothing is one-way.
Camerata's files live in the app's own storage, which iCloud Backup and an encrypted computer backup normally include — though iOS lets you switch individual apps out of iCloud Backup, and any backup is only as recent as the last time it ran. There is no separate Camerata cloud, and there never will be — that is deliberate. If a backup matters to you, check that iCloud Backup is on in your iPhone's Settings, and consider saving important collections out to Photos as a second copy.
Check Recently Deleted in Settings and put it back. Items stay there until you empty them, or until they are more than 30 days old, at which point the app clears them out the next time it starts. Once that has happened the file is gone from the device and I cannot recover it — there is no server copy to restore from. If you saved the collection out to Photos at any point, look there.
Photos at full sensor resolution are large, and a collection you have been adding to for months adds up. Settings shows how much space Camerata is using, broken down by collection. The safe way to reclaim space is to save a finished collection out to Photos (or to your computer) first, confirm the copies are there, and only then delete it in Camerata.
Use the share sheet in the other app and choose Add to Camerata, or use Import inside a collection to pick from your photo library. Importing copies the file — your original stays exactly where it was.
Only so that Save out can create an album per collection in your Photos app, and find that album again the next time. iOS does not allow an app to create or look up an album with add-only access. Beyond that, Camerata reads your library only while you are picking photos to import.
Force-quit the app and reopen it first. If it persists, email me before deleting the app — deleting Camerata deletes everything still inside it, and unless you saved those collections out to Photos there is no other copy.
Purchases are handled entirely by Apple, so refunds go through Apple rather than through me. Use reportaproblem.apple.com with the Apple Account you bought with. If the app is not doing what you expected, I would like to hear why either way.
Both welcome at the same address. Camerata is intentionally narrow — local storage, no accounts, no subscription — so some requests will get an honest no, but they all get read.
